I am uninterested in the debate over authenticity when it comes to food. Taste should be paramount. Hasn’t it become difficult to define authenticity as food culture continues to be shaped by immigration and adaptation?

Hence, I enjoy very much the resort-atmosphere Thai restaurant chain, Busaba Eathai. My favourite dishes are Thai calamari with ginger and peppercorn, and Chinese broccoli with garlic and shiitake, to go with Jasmine rice.

Pandan leaf tea with cashew and coconut cookie is the perfect ending to every meal.

gia (via contact form): I’m happy to know you like them and wrote to tell me so! Understand your English perfectly.
Bruce Fang (via contact form): Manufactum is a wonderful idea, I love it. Since I like writing about good things, maybe you can check back on occasion to see if there’s anything new. Here’s a start.
Orys (via contact form): Nice to hear from you!
khairudin (cia contact form): I’ve never come across fake Visvim so I don’t really know what to look out for compared to real ones. Besides the styling and design has changed quite a lot since the FBT is a long-running style. I’m sorry I can’t help. I just like wearing them.
The Storialist, Barbara, H, Benji, jing, if jane, Kitty, Clara, Alexia, Julia, Novi, Kiki, jocady and petoskystone: Maybe more Ferry adventures later this week. She loves being in a roll so much she gets into rolling position when placed on fabric. We hold and stroke her when she is in a roll and she really likes the attention.
Su-Lin: Ferry loves being in a roll, she can’t stop chirping. I was only passing by but now I have to go back to Harris’s for spam fritters!
fanny: I’ve seen gooseberries for sale quite a lot this year. I’ve never tried them. They give me a sour feeling. Are they?
christie: She has this maze made up of slinky wire and covered plastic but she uses it mainly for storing her treasures and meat stock. Sometimes, but rarely, she sleeps in it too. She’s quite a lazy ferret.
Sini: No lack of beautiful cakes in France though?
Jessie: At the moment, I am obsessed about Ottolenghi (a constant really), Paul Rothe & Sons (charming atmosphere) and A. Gold.
yang: Thank you for visiting. I wonder what the introduction in Milk said? 很想到中国走走,明年吧?
Sneaky Magpie: I saw a bottle of elderflower cordial from a small producer at a delicatessen but it was about £15 so when Alison and I saw this one at Waitrose we couldn’t believe the price…
Nikki: Glad to be of help. I haven’t been to Koya for a while.
Marina: The English breakfast was terrible, but I was starving. I’m sure I could do better at home but what a mess it would make. Ferry was actually very moody early last week but I think she’s cheered up since we discovered the ferret roll game.
aliceee:): Exactly, though I haven’t used mine for a while…
lotte: Thank you.
