Ribbons from V V Rouleaux
When I was in secondary school, we were only allowed black, dark blue or white ribbons in our hair. Although now I can choose from all the options available, I still find myself drawn to those three colours.

I am just as fussy about ribbon types; my favourites are double faced velvet, double sided silk satin, petersham and the ones with picot edges. And one last ribbon rule, they must always have swallow-tail ends.

Bardotty: Thank you. I met a few people and it was nice to see who the things went to. I’m happy!
pochi: Good to hear you have found recipes you want to try already. The styling in Cuoca is simple but nice, isn’t it? I suppose Kentaro is famous for fast and easy cooking so perhaps the recipes will be good for weekday dinners. I will let Alison know that you liked the green tea cakes. You can also find her here. I know she doesn’t make the same cakes every day so maybe she can let you know whenever she makes the green tea flavour. It is a shame about Jessica Ogden. My favourite sweatshirt from her was stained and I can’t wear it anymore. OK, I hope you had a good weekend despite this dreary weather!
wl: I’m glad you think so. I think the sentiments of the piece are quite funny too.
A note on: accessory, hair, my favourite things, polaroid slr680, ribbon

Lovely ribbons! :) I like how you combined these three colours. And you may be able to choose every colour you want, but if these look good, why not :)?
I particularly like the ‘zipper’ effect edges. And I find monochrome or dark-colour combinations more chic.
Yeap it’s quirky with Chinese stereotypes but they come together quite charmingly !
I see the Dunman High influence has still affected you….
Lovely pick and assortment – and I love the story about your school colours and the swallow-tail ends ! Does this feel like a private tradition to you ?
There is something magical about ribbon stores, and I tend to buy more than I would really need (ahem) as a result, but I equally enjoy using random ribbons, like the silk satin ribbons found on my Christmas chocolate boxes. My family members purchase several different assorted boxes from the same chocolaterie each year, and I usually receive a few of those in January. The ribbons always come in the same colour range (different shades of orange and purple), and wearing them definitely feels like a private tradition. All the more enjoyable !
But did you have to have ribbons in your hair? (i know, so many things I have learn ;))
hm-hm guess I’m about to make myself The Ribbon Problem which has two components: wow, I hardly ever see such a huge variety of ribbons (some colors in the darkest edge of a fabric shop) and I’m really not sure about the ribbon+my ‘looks like an enourmus aubergine’ face together.
but I have to admit that they still look too tempting and charming.*sigh*
Ribbons! Love! And bows. as always! :) Do I need to say that I love your style? ;)
I really like swallow tail ends too:)
And I finished my last exam today, so now I have vacation! Since I’m at uni, I don’t even have to show up at school until january! yay! More time for blogging and reading and movies and fun!
beautiful ribbons, I’m not so fussy, guess thats how come I end up nearly bankrupt every time I visit V V Rouleaux! Merry christmas x
love the combination of ribbons you have used to make that bow! =)
