…and some leftovers…

Anna (via contact form): I think the best thing to do is to save as much as you can before making the move. London is a city where money goes quickly. Everything else, house-hunting, job-hunting, and the like, can be sorted out when you’re here. Perhaps you’ll like to get a short-stay apartment for your first month, I’d recommend that over a home-stay.

Annie Clinton (via contact form): Perhaps you mean Automat? It’s an American-style brasserie, it’s OK. If you’re coming from New York, you have much better options for breakfast there.

wera and lottie: I brought home a Reiss enamel saucepan, two Falcon pie dishes, a sieve and a heat diffuser (all very practical, nothing indulgent). I could have also gotten more wooden cutlery, Lock and Lock boxes (an incredible variety) and glass jars.

Sam: It’s a herbal jelly my mum sent called gui ling gao (no longer made from turtle!).

July: Falcon enamelware new doesn’t cost very much at all. I got round pie dishes and they are £2 each… Unless if the used look is what you’re after.

Mette: Are there not any good kitchen shops where you are? I’m curious about Sevenoaks now.

marie: I was quite excited about the market but it’s actually tiny, only a few stalls. Luckily there are great shops surrounding the market.

Graham Hutson: I actually wondered about which dog you were talking about but I guess you mean the big, grey one.

sopchan: I was very amazed by those wood sets too, primitive yet elegant, if that makes sense. Your onion syrup concoction sounds really interesting (and time-consuming to make). Chest infection can take some time to shake off, mine took weeks. Have you worked out what is your imbalance – deficiency, excess, heat, cold or dampness – as sometimes a cold can be due to excess heat and conventional herbs for a cold are actually to be avoided.

mer and kongpowkitty: Ok, I will! I bought a pair of shoes from Tod’s. Changing Room is in Tunbridge Wells which is around 50 minutes by train from London Charing Cross, good day out.

Miguel: Thank you for your feedback.

Sneakymagpie: I’ve drawn up a list of places to escape to for the weekend. I don’t think I’m making use of my time here very well!

editor: I’m glad you like the peek. An old lady was in the apartment as you may have expected.

Denise | Chez Danisse: Nice you found little details that appeals to you from the pictures.

Those are really really cute! And I don’t think any of those could be considered “leftovers”. They’re all perfect. I wish they had that here where I live. What a lovely gift indeed. I especially love the dolphin and panda!

It was lying around my kitchen table and i ate it !

OOH! So that’s how the Japanese do it. lol. I always wondered how they could cut anything so detailed on seaweed. :D

Thanks for replying about the Inverallan indigo. Good to know that they can be heavy (I thought about getting one; maybe a cropped vest then?). Do you think these seaweed animals are meant for bento boxes?

  9. Mette says:

To answer your reply to the Tunbridge Wells posts; yes, there are good kitchenshops in Copenhagen – it´s just not the same as the ones in England – they stock stuff, that you´ll only find at flea markets here !

And you should stop by Sevenoaks ! It too has a Farmers market saturdays and wednesdays. It´s a very pretty town, with loads of good charity shops and Knole Park is lovely. It´s good being back in Copenhagen, but I do miss Sevenoaks and England sometimes.
