1. I go by Hui Ting Heng, 王慧婷 (wáng huì tíng) or Tommy.
2. I was born in Singapore on 26 May 1981. If it was Australia, I’d share it with National Sorry Day.
3. I had enough of the eternal summer and lizards after 23 years so I packed up and moved to London on 4 October 2004.
4. I wanted to be a vet, a zoo-keeper, a designer or a journalist when I was growing up. I guess I was a rather pragmatic and not too imaginative child.
5. I am such a cliché because I like, in no particular order, penguins, polar bears, hamsters, squirrels, rabbits, kittens, puppies. In general, all animals cute and furry. I also really like taking pictures of flowers.
6. I like beautiful things but they have to be functional though beauty is subjective and function has a broad definition in my books.
7. I probably have too many coats, shoes, dresses, bags and cookbooks. Too many Ladurée boxes, too little Hermès scarves.
8. I have a nose that can only pick up very bad smells.
9. I only idolise dead people because there is no chance of them messing up. Also the critical factor in the creation of the myth of cool is distance.
10. I am lousy at ball games and, in general, anything that requires motor co-ordination. I also cannot cycle.
