Lo-Fi England

A Country Guide Through Lomo Eyes

South East

BRIGHTON

Bill’s Produce Store
The Depot
100 North Road
Brighton BN1 1YE

I always pop into Bill’s everytime I visit Brighton as there isn’t a store quite like it in London. The atmosphere is exceedingly cheerful and it looks like parties are going on atop the cakes. Food is pleasant though it can be a bit hit-and-miss sometimes.

Blackout
53 Kensington Place
Brighton BN1 4EJ

If you aren’t too overwhelmed by the clashing colours and prints upon entering the store, you may find some fun products for the home. I went away with polka dot enamel plates and melamine chopsticks.

coffee@33
33 Trafalgar Street
Brighton BN1 4ED

I was attracted to this café because it bore a striking resemblance to my London favourite, Fernandez & Wells.

Oasis Antiques

Pretty-looking junk shop.

Pigeon Vintage Furniture

Rin-Tin-Tin
34 North Road
Brighton BN1 1YB

I always wanted to go in but it never seems to be open when I’m there. Many pop memorabilia as seen from the window.

Snooper’s Paradise
7-8 Kensington Gardens
Brighton BN1 4AL

Antique emporium. Mid-century homeware, curiosities and various odds and sorts.

SWAG
91 Trafalgar Street
Brighton BN1 4ER

Beautiful old furniture and things.

FOLKESTONE

Insta-bookmarking this! So happy to find something like this; I was actually redirected here by a blog reader because I had been lamenting how I had no idea what I wanted to do in Europe. Thank you for sharing this!
