This is my favourite pair of Vans Era. Every time summer comes around, I think it may be its last. Summer has been and gone this year and it looks like this pair of shoes will see another year of use. When I first posted a picture some years ago, it made its way onto a forum where people were confused and curious as to its origin. Their best explanation was, it’s fake *. Well, I don’t know why no one asked me. I would have told them exactly where I got the shoes from: the outlet village at Portsmouth.
* Just because I am Chinese doesn’t mean that I am well-acquainted with the world of fakes. Where would one go to shop for fake Vans? I haven’t got a clue.

Rachel (via contact form): Thank you for the message. Very much appreciated.
Maypeck: I was going to take her to the office to visit but the weather has been appalling. Maybe this coming week!
Benji: I think everyone has the right to be curious, and I am putting myself out there on a public platform. No worries.
Vanessa: Ferry is lovely but time-consuming, she needs a lot of attention!
if jane: The other night, I was sat at my computer and my husband was holding her (in a roll) and I couldn’t stop turning over to look and exclaiming, “she’s so cute!” But at other times, she frustrates me so much when she is in one of her moods.
yuko: Ferry could crush the bones on your finger, if she wanted to!
ale hamm: 用中文留言吧!希望你能到纽约,因为它是一个很吸引人的城市。Always alive!
Julia: How are you finding Beijing? I really want to visit. Wondering if I could squeeze in a trip in November when I’m back home in Singapore. How many days do you think one needs to spend in Beijing to get a good feel of the city?
petoskystone: I spent my morning walking her in Hampstead Heath. She was digging up mud and some went on my face.
