A Polaroid A Day #29

I hope you like these tins from Rosebud Perfume Company and Peter Rabbit tissue paper as much as I do.

selina: I’m not sure which came first – the design or the function – or maybe the holes were never intended to be used for those purposes. But I found it pretty helpful so it’ll justify why I need more penguin sponges!

yz: I saw my first ladybird in London, I was so surprised that they’re so small! I once saw a very well-loved Paddington on a market stall in Notting Hill, I felt so sorry for him that I wanted to bring him home but he was absolutely filthy. As for the penguin, I thought it will be evil yet funny to have things poking into it. Wanted to see how people will react…ha ha… You seem to be the only one.

enc: You need to come see London soon again then. I don’t know what’s up with cats in my neighborhood. They’re always angry. Even though they have perks like leftovers to steal from the bbq or free roaming into everyone’s gardens.

marie: Really, wow! So healthy!

michelle: Apparently, the A.P.C. dress comes in a pink version!? I was told by a shop staff who doesn’t speak English well over the phone so I don’t know if my description was misunderstood. If there was such a version, I’ve never seen it. Have you? As for cooking, practice, practice, practice. It’s not as scary as you think.

pixie_chi: I think our shoes were padded by old towels, rugs and such. They do make such awful sounds in the machine though. Sorry about your Converse! I think two to three washes maximum for a shoe in its lifespan. They really don’t last that well.

Abi*: Makes me want to do an “Eating Across America’s Roadside Diners” trip, only problem is I can’t drive.

may: Strawberry yoghurt is good for me. I just want to try it for novelty’s sake. I know I will end up liking vanilla best at the end of the day.

TP: Oh you have it worse than me!

yuko: No idea, so nice right? I was hoping someone could tell me what those flowers are (that’s usually what happens). Looks dahlia-like. I’ve never seen homeless cats around. Those ones are very well cared for. Spoilt probably!

yasu: So good. I need to think about reorganising my bookshelf so I can get more books. So many on my wishlist.

Jimmy!: Well, with a face like that…

may: I know. So perfect!

izzydore: Actually I have that yellowing too. It’s from the glue I believe. I don’t really mind as I’m planning to wear them for one more summer only. They’re pretty used up now.

joyce: I’d really like to visit more places – only been to New York, Portland (Oregon) and San Francisco so far. Where do you recommend?

Farhan: Same, I’m sure vanilla will end up being the favourite. But it’s just my character to try out everything available! So far, I’ve had green tea and cappucino. Have you tried the chocolate eclair cream puff? I’d look out for the fondant next – but it’s the sort of thing you need to eat in the right weather.

Abi*: She’s not either, I think. I saw the deleted scenes for the first time yesterday. Have you seen them? The supermarket meat bit was so funny. I’m glad they took it out.

sophie: I think her position has been usurped by Keira Knightley. Both of them have this interesting mix of opposites: fragile yet strong, stunningly feminine face yet boyish body frame… Much like Audrey Hepburn.

Iconoclastic: That’s what everyone keeps saying! I have the DVD at home now waiting to be watched. Funny because when I saw the trailer, it looked so car-crash.
